About Buddy's Bagels Cattlemen

Buddy's Bagels on Cattlemen Road, formerly Brooklyn Bagel & Deli, bakes New York-style bagels fresh every morning in Sarasota. Our menu comes from Lox & Egg Bagel Company, a local favorite for about 20 years, and many of its original recipes are still made daily. Stop in for a bagel and schmear, a Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese, or a deli lunch like the Lower East Side Reuben or Nova smoked salmon. Eat in, or order ahead online for quick pick-up. We also cater office breakfasts, parties, and Jewish holidays with bagel platters, sandwich trays, lox displays, and coffee boxes. Free parking right in front of the shop. Open daily, 7 AM to 2 PM.

This place is legit! I come in from north Florida for work a couple of times a month and this is now my one absolutely necessary stops each trip. The bagels are top shelf and the house made cream cheeses are decadent. Kudos!!

5 stars! Stopped by Buddy’s Bagel and had a phenomenal pork roll, egg, and cheese on a jalapeño bagel — seriously delicious!!! They have the BEST NY-style bagels around, no question. The iced coffee and hot brewed coffee were both great too. The second we walked in, we were greeted by a super friendly and welcoming staff. We definitely will be coming back to try some of their lunch specials as well!

Love this place! Bagels and sandwiches. Owner is very kind and everything is made fresh! They have a wide range of drinks to choose from and is a great place for breakfast or lunch. They offer catering. Indoor and outdoor seating. And bathrooms for customers.

Look, I’m not saying this place is leading a cream cheese–to–bagel ratio revolution, but it’s clear they’ve decided “portion control” is a life choice. If you’re one of those people who think a bagel should have just a polite swipe of cream cheese, consider this your warned. Here, “the shmear” isn’t a suggestion; it’s an art. They build these bagels like nobodies business and just kept going with vegetable cream cheese. I’m 90% sure there’s more cream cheese here than actual bagel, and I could not be more delighted. The staff? Super friendly. They’ll hand you a bagel roughly the weight of a newborn, smile like they’re not enabling your dairy addiction, and genuinely wish you a nice day—knowing full well you’re about to go into a slight coma. 10/10, would highly recommend if you enjoy flavor, joy, and the kind of excessive cream cheese coverage that makes the bagel hole a distant memory.

Came here while in town and the food was excellent. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. Their customer service is excellent and the menu has lots of options to satisfy anyone's cravings for a hearty breakfast or lunch.
